Airsculpt 2-Year Review: Would I do it all over again? (Before & After Included)

In January it’s going to be 2 years since I got Airsculpt 🤯 and I cannot believe it’s been that long since I got the Airsculpt done.

I went to Elite Body Sculpture because I wasn’t happy with the back side of my torso, like bra bulge area, love handles, my lack of waist and I really wanted to do something about without having to go under.

Soooo how do I feel about the procedure after two years? I have to say that I do have a bit of mixed feelings about it.

Let me start with the pros.

Anesthesia

First, obviously I liked the fact that you are awake during the whole thing. I get a little bit (as in A LOT) nervous with general anesthesia. I’m always like “alright I’m not gonna wake up from this” so the fact that I was going to be awake was really appealing to me.

Surgery

The surgery itself wasn’t scary, I was relaxed, they gave me laughing gas… so it was kind of enjoyable 😂. I did feel a little bit of pain when they were doing the banana rolls (the area where the butt connects with the leg) but nothing crazy. I recorded videos, FaceTimed my mom… who wasn’t too happy to see my face because she was so nervous.

Soon after you’re done, you basically walk out by yourself. I obviously did not feel AH-MAZING, but I could walk and was able to get in the car, in bed etc.

I’m not gonna lie, the first week is pretty rough because you can’t move that much and it does hurt quite a bit. I did go out to a restaurant after two days but I had to be very careful and did some social distancing (who would’ve known I was practicing for what was coming). After the first week or so, I feel that recovery went really fast.

Onto the cons!

Results are not drastic

First of all, I think that the result wasn’t as prominent as I was hoping it would be. The bra bulge area is still kind of big and flabby.

Side note: I do exercise like 3 times a week and also eat healthy so I would think that the area would be a lot smaller at this point. It’s not. I’m not sure if it’s fat, retained fluids, loose skin, all of the above but it’s just not what I expected.

Some people have said that since you’re awake during the procedure, they don’t go ham on you and suuuuck it all out aggressively. I did reach out to Elite and let them know my concerns. They were happy to bring me in so I’m going to swing by at some point to get it checked by my doctor.

On the other hand, I do feel like my waist has more shape than before. Again, not A HUGE difference but that’s really the only area I’ve noticed some kind of change.

Scarring: Neither pro nor con

Moving on to scarring! Scarring is ok. Scars are there, they’re flat but visible because the skin is darker. However, it’s not something I worry about. They are not too noticeable or at least no one has said anything about them.

Conclusion

To finish up… would I do it all over again? Yes but in smaller areas with pockets of stubborn fat. I’m thinking arms, chin, love handles. I wouldn’t do it for a whole body transformation. I believe regular lipo would be better for this.

However, please understand that this was my experience. Each person is different with different body types and Elite is a great office with awesome surgeons. If you’re considering Airsculpt, do give them a call and have a consultation. My doctor was the awesome Dr. Jackson.

Alright, I hope this review was helpful. If you have any more questions do let me know. I’m usually more responsive on Instagram @stephmnews.
